What is your favorite ice cream flavor or topping?

For some reason I recall recently writing about ice cream and my absolute love affair with cookie dough ice cream. Those little cold, nearly-frozen bits of cookie dough inside of ice cream are beyond delicious.

When I was a kid Mom would sometimes make us a “fancy” ice cream sundae that consisted of either vanilla or butterscotch ripple ice cream topped with chocolate syrup, chocolate chips or butterscotch chips, whichever she had on hand to bake with, and mini marshmallows.

I would mix and fold that all together so the mini marshmallows became one with the ice cream and nearly frozen themselves.

So delicious.

Around 2010 when I first discovered Coldstone Creamery (it wasn’t in Canada yet then, or at least not in Winnipeg), my favourite was birthday cake ice cream, loaded with cookie dough. Unreal explosion inside my mouth. Wow.
