It’s national homemade cookies day. What’s your favorite homemade cookie? And do you have a recipe you’d like to share?
My favourite all-time cookie is the OG chocolate chip cookie recipe I grew up on. I started baking these myself when I was probably about ten years old. Honestly, getting to eat spoonful’s of the raw cookie dough was probably the reason I loved baking them.
I would bake them every couple of weeks or so. I learned this little trick to take them out of the oven at eight minutes and not ten minutes, like the recipe said to do. I found them so much better just slightly underbaked, then stored in the fridge.
Mom baked them for the whole ten minutes and they’d get ever so slightly brown and to me, dried out a bit.
I still bake them today although not nearly as often because I’ll be the one who ends up eating most of them. Sid is not a fan of them for some reason.
