I think I first heard the term “search engine optimization” (that is what it stands for right?) when I was a franchisee of the company called Tan on the Run.
Our boss was constantly reminding and encouraging us (the franchisees), to post post post on social media and to make sure we were at or near the top of Google searches.
But that’s really all I know about it.
As far as my blog goes, I couldn’t care less about SEO. I sometimes look at my stats, weary of how many people in Canada searched or read it. Not that it’s a secret blog or anything but I sort of prefer my audience be like-minded blogging people. People who get the need to be here each day typing away as part of their daily routine.
I mean, sure, who wouldn’t want some publisher to search them, find them and offer them trillions of dollars for access to what they’ve written. But that’s not what I’m chasing.
I guess I’m not really chasing anything, other than a few people to read what I write and every now and then someone to say, yeah, I hear you, I get that, I’ve been there.
