Happy happy day

What’s the last item you purchased?

I missed writing yesterday because my morning wasn’t typical (I Glamma-sat Baby RR) and didn’t sleep well all night but also when I woke up I was busy with him. The rest of the day got away on me also. Laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, homemade pizza for supper.

I did get around to watching some more of East of Eden last night but it bothered me so much I almost stopped watching and gave it up.

When the character Cathy gives birth to the twin babies and won’t care for them and they’re laying there crying and hungry, that bothered me so much. Then what was even worse was the dumb guy, Adam. More concerned over his psychopath wife than the little innocent babies. Makes me so mad.

I do like the show though.

Okay to the prompt, the last thing I bought…well that would be a pair of boots for Sid. Not too exciting. Every boy needs rubber boots to stomp in the mud puddles and his were getting small. So I ordered him Muck boots that are rated to -30 Celsius although I highly doubt that. I’ll buy him boots for winter in a month or so.

Prior to that, the last thing I bought was that area rug mousepad and I really hope it wasn’t a scam. I haven’t had any updates yet on that order and it’s been a couple weeks. I should have learned my lesson about ordering from random places whose ads I saw on social media. Been burned like that before. Hopefully I actually receive it.

This afternoon I am attending an event for all of the female current city councillors and those running in the election for a spot on council. I was invited several weeks ago and am really looking forward to it.

It’s called “Her Seat at the Table” and it’s being held at a local restaurant here this afternoon from 3-5 pm. I think the format is similar to speed-dating. Members of the public will stop in, grab a coffee, and go around meeting and getting to know the ladies in this election.

The current (female) councillors who organized it are trying to encourage females to get involved with politics, at any level. Super cool.

I bumped up my hair appointment to tomorrow, bye-bye greys!!!
