Reading for what purpose

What book(s) are you currently reading?

Honestly, I haven’t picked up a book in probably six weeks. Life got extra busy when I was running for city council and now they’ve provided me with an iPad and it’s loaded with meeting agendas, minutes and all kinds of long boring documents I need to familiarize myself with, such as The Municipal Act. So that’s what I’ll be reading.

The last book I put down was Strong Female Character by Fern Brady. I’ve not quite finished it though.

I tend to gravitate to autobiographies and hers starts off interesting but maybe didn’t move along as quickly as I wanted. She’s a British comedian, who navigates through some interesting events in her life and is diagnosed eventually with Autism.

Besides the extra duties of being a city Councillor, I’m still enrolled in the Teaching for Learning course from Red River College Polytech out of Winnipeg so I have classes online weekly and assignments due every Sunday.

Thankfully the course will be done in December which will allow me some extra breathing room. Perhaps some time for leisure reading again.

Will I pick it back up & finish it? IDK
Was recommended this book so it’s up next

  2. it’s awesome you are still keeping up with writing though. I know your schedule must be jam packed but I do like hearing about your acclimation to city council and the projects y’all are pursuing
