I’m Canadian, eh

Daily writing prompt
What countries do you want to visit?

In no particular order:

Ireland

Scotland

Austria

Croatia

France

Greece

Pretty boring, nothing real “exotic” here. Some of these countries are the places my great-grandparents came from. Some are just because.

I really don’t like flying. I’m scared of dying in a plane crash, maybe even worse, living through a plane crash and being stranded somewhere and everyone gets so hungry they start eating each other.

I won’t let that stop me from travelling but it’s always in the back of my mind. To go to Europe, or any of these places I need money, and lots of it. And passports for myself and my kids. I let my passport expire when my husband and I separated as it was the bottom on my list of priorities. I need to get a new one, I realize this but I need one for my three year old as well, especially, and since he’s (on paper) in the foster care system, I can’t just apply for it myself. It would be his worker I suppose who would do that. I won’t go anywhere without him so until he gets a passport, I won’t bother either.

Anyway it will be a bit easier to travel with him when he gets a tiny bit older. Travel, as in long flights. Until then, we’ll continue touring Canada and that’s great for right now. We have a beautiful expansive country to see.

  1. I’ve only been to Nova Scotia and through Quebec on the way to Vermont once, but I’d love to venture into Canada more!

    1. Nice! I’ve never been to either of those places. I’ve mostly gone west from Manitoba, the Rocky Mountains are spectacular and then British Columbia has so much to offer. Warmer temps and everything from vineyards to mountains to ocean.
