How many revisions does your post have before you click “publish”?
Oh man, come Monday my summer is technically over because I go back to work. This year I have nearly three weeks of prep time before the students actually begin classes after the September long weekend.
I’m hoping to do much of the next three weeks from home, whenever and wherever I can. In any case, starting Monday I need to carve out a new routine.
No more going with the flow, getting out of bed whenever my eyes open. I’ll need to set my alarm each night to ensure I have time before work to journal and spend time here.
The other thing, or person I should say, that throws a twist into that is Baby RR. Because Cordelia also works fulltime and sometimes is up late with him or throughout the night to feed him, I take him from her whenever he wakes up which is usually between six and seven am.
Okay so back to the prompt, I spew my thoughts, as above, and then I go back and re-read, usually once about halfway through, to see if I’ve gotten too far off track or completely left out something I wanted to say. Once I feel that I’ve finished the post I proofread it. Then find a title, add a photo and hit publish.
I write pretty much completely in real time. I could never be organized enough to write and then publish at a later date. If I’m thinking it now, I’m writing it now.
The exception to that is when I have random thoughts that I put into my phone to possibly include in a post at a later date.
