Stew me in cookie dough

How do you prioritize your life?

Our children are our most important work. Once all of their needs are met, it’s time to focus on the other things that need my attention. So I guess that’s pretty simple.

In other news, I hate myself for falling victim to the bottom half of a tub of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream last night. Ugh. I had violent dreams last night, because of it I’m sure.

Not only that, ten minutes after ingesting it, I experienced that sugar-induced drop in energy (and probably because I’d been up since 5 am), I fell asleep on the couch and woke up an hour later in a stupor, on the verge of drooling. It took everything in me to get up off the couch, turn off all the lights, wash my face and brush my teeth.

I know it sounds like I’m making a big deal over some ice cream but I have serious regrets. It’s 6:16 am and my stomach is hungry. Normally I fast from around 7 pm until noon the next day and it’s no biggie but because I ate last night so late (and it was ice cream), I’m already feeling the need to eat again. Let’s hope I can hold off for 6 more hours.

And I feel a bit jittery at the moment and I’m blaming that on Ben & Jerry too.

But damn it was good. It was the one with the fudgy ice cream in it and the cookie dough pieces, both chocolate chip cookie dough and peanut butter cookie dough. At the time and in those ten minutes, it was heavenly.

When I die and am cremated, I want someone to mix my remains in some cookie dough. Is that weird? Like don’t eat me but just let me stew in cookie dough.

I’m going to read that later and want to edit it out.

I always wanted a nice, professional-looking headshot for work

  3. OMG! Such a contrast to brunette you. How is the world reacting to you as a blonde? Is life as a blond noticeably different? I’ve highlighted, but never gone full blond and I’ve always kind of wondered about life on the other side.

    1. It’s such a change hey? Thing is, it’s still not where I want it to be. Its going to take a few more months. Getting all those decades of box-dye out was a process!
No actually so far I haven’t found that blondes have more fun. Some people do notice and others seem not to, which surprises me lol

    2. I was born with white blonde hair and across the years it has gone a bit darker but on the whole its stayed fairly blonde. I can apparently look forward to going white in old age according to my hairdresser Mary!
Do blondes have more fun? I don’t know cos I’ve never been dark 🤷‍♀️

    1. Yes my oldest is 25 but even though she can maneuver the world on her own, she’ll always be my baby.

    2. …case in point…I am working on “grazing” less on my phone through the day, so I’m not trying to pay attention to every notification…but then my daughter texts with a question…she’s 32 – so that’s an instant pause the grazing break 🙂

i mean…cookie dough/fudge ice cream is the pinnacle of western civilization. we can afford to not call it just simple chocolate. we are now making flavors based on raw ingredients we use to make other foods.

    other civilizations ‘can’t even!” 😂

i love the photo- you look great!Mike

    1. When I was a kid I would make chocolate chip cookies JUST to eat the raw dough. Like every Saturday lol. And I wouldn’t stop until I had an upset stomach 🤣
So my love affair with cookie dough has been lifelong. Nowadays if I go to DQ I order a mini sized Cookie Dough Blizzard with no chocolate syrup in the ice cream and extra extra extra cookie dough.
      Thanks Mike!

  6. Hot pic.

Also, perhaps you should conduct a study on Ben & Jerry’s intoxication?

I’m sure it’s just the sugar in general, no?

  7. Did you intentionally add money pieces? This is something I’m contemplating, but weirdly my hair is darkest in that front area, lightest on top like a beanie. lol Anyway, still looks great. I’m blown away by how you can do both dramatic darks and lights.

    1. Yeah so, stupid me loved Cordelia’s money pieces in her hair and thought it would look as good on me, but I’m really not loving it. They’re more noticeable when I part my hair down the middle, which I rarely do because, well, I’m old school side part 🤷🏻‍♀️
      Thank you Stephanie!

“Well stew me in cookie dough!” That’s a great exclamation and I intend to remember it and to use it. Thank you!
I had the same thing happen to me this morning before it was time to break my 12-hour fast, and it was for the same reason: I’d had a bowl of ice cream and chocolate sauce a half-hour after my usual fast begins in the evening. We’d gotten home late after having supper out and by-damn-it I had that particular dessert on my mind and couldn’t deny myself..
I don’t feel guilty about it though. C’mon, we don’t have to be perfect. I just extended my time to eat again by a half-hour. Voila, no problemo.

    1. Lol well I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one who can’t always resist temptation 😇
I tried to counteract it this morning by drinking lots n lots of water and a handful each of almonds and sunflower seeds. I told myself that fixes it! 🤭
I do allow myself ice cream once a week or so but it was just the way I dug into Ben & Jerry in such a feral way and so late at night that made me wonder about myself, not to mention those dreams that came with it!
